Inspired by the Norfolk & Western paint schemes of the 1950s and 60s, Naugatuck Railroad (our operating railroad) GP9's 686 and 859 were built in 1959 by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors. Both are currently active in freight and passenger-excursion service.  They entered service in Naugatuck, West Virginia on coal trains, replacing N&W’s last steam locomotives.

These locomotives are viewable while in excursion and freight service.
