Toys for Tots Train

The RMNE and the Naugatuck Railroad are proud to partner with Operation Toy Train and the United States Marine Corps Reserves to benefit the Toys for Tots Foundation. We will be running a special train on Saturday, November 9, 2024 to four different stops along our line, collecting toys to bring the joy of Christmas to the less fortunate youth across America!

Operation Toy Train is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that uses trains to collect donated toys and deliver them to the Marines. They provide the largest single donation to the Toys for Tots Foundation on the east coast, with over 30,000 toys collected annually. We’re pleased to partner with them to expand their efforts!

We encourage our passengers, friends, and neighbors to come out to one of our four stops to donate new toys (no wrapping paper, please!) to be collected by our train. All toys that we collect will be delivered to the Marines and re-distributed within the collection area, keeping your donations local and benefitting less fortunate children in our neighborhoods.

The schedule for our 2023 Toys for Tots train is as follows:

  • Waterbury - 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM
44 Chase River Rd, Waterbury, CT 06704 (behind Fascia’s Chocolates)
