Torrington Twilight Express
Hop aboard and enjoy a scenic train ride to Torrington on our Torrington Twilight Express! These excursions will take you up the Naugatuck River Valley, over the famed Thomaston Dam, and through the woods to Torrington! Passengers on these trains will not only get to enjoy a trip on the northern part of our line, but will also have a chance to depart the train and spend 2 1/2 hours in Torrington to grab dinner, walk around, and enjoy what downtown has to offer on a summer evening! Local Beer, Local Wine, Local Soda, and Water are available for purchase onboard the train upon departure from Thomaston Station.
Itinerary:

5:00 pm: Depart Thomaston Station
5:45 pm: Arrive at Torrington Water St platform
7:45 pm: Passengers visiting Torrington re-board train
8:00 pm: Depart Torrington
8:45 pm: Arrive at Thomaston Station
Note: The Torrington Water St platform is .2 miles and a 5 minute walk from Main St.

Please Note: This Excursion is not handicapped accessible. Only the train ride is included in this excursion. Provided above are some restaurants and attractions in the Torrington main street area. It is the responsibility of the passengers to make their own dining and other reservations if needed. Passengers are responsible for returning to the Torrington Water St. platform to board the train no later than 8:00 pm. Passengers are required to show their ticket to re-board the train. Neither the Railroad Museum of New England nor the Naugatuck Railroad are responsible for passengers who miss the return train ride.
