Canadian Pacific 1246 is a 4-6-2 type steam locomotive built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1946 and was in operation on CP until 1958. Bought by Steamtown, USA founder F. Nelson Blount in 1965, 1246 operated on the Green Mountain Railroad in Vermont until 1981, and moved with the Steamtown collection to Scranton, PA in 1984. It operated there until 1986 and was purchased by RMNE in 1988. 1246 moved to Connecticut in 1989.
